7 Competitor Questions Every Leadership Team Asks

Know where your competitors are heading before the board asks.

· Editorial

The leadership view puts size, momentum and direction on one page: the numbers a board pack needs, measured the same way for you and for them.

Here are the seven things a Kvasano report does for leadership, each with a real example from our public benchmarks: earplugs (Loop vs Hears) and software (monday.com vs Asana and ClickUp). Measured 25 October 2026.

1. How big are they, really?

A revenue range built from two independent estimates, shown only when the two agree. If they disagree, we say so instead of picking one.

In a real report: Loop Earplugs: $85.4-120m a year. monday.com: $1.23bn.

2. Are they gaining on you?

Share of search over 12 weeks and visits month over month and over three months. Momentum, not a snapshot.

In a real report: Share of search in project management software: Asana 43.8%, monday.com 25%, ClickUp 6.3%.

3. Who takes the category's money?

Each brand's share of the revenue in the category you compete in, so a big number means something next to the others.

In a real report: monday.com 49.4%, Asana 33.2%, ClickUp 17.3%.

4. Where are they putting people?

New roles per week, split into engineering and sales and marketing. Hiring is the strategy they cannot hide.

In a real report: Asana posts 8.2 engineering roles a week and 1.4 in sales. monday.com posts 6.5 in sales and 4.7 in engineering.

5. How lean do they run?

Headcount on LinkedIn next to estimated revenue, so you see revenue per employee and not just size.

In a real report: Hears: about $448k in revenue per employee with 11 people.

6. What are they about to launch?

Trademark filings in the last 12 months and the last 90 days, plus funding stories as they appear.

In a real report: Loop filed 7 trademarks in 12 months, 3 of them in the last 90 days.

7. The strategy frameworks, already filled in

Positioning map, strategy canvas and gap analysis, built from the latest data instead of a blank template, with every cell linked to its number.

In a real report: Rebuilt every 14 days from the same snapshots as the report.
