Free audit

Everything we can find on a competitor without spending a cent.

Four of our sources cost us nothing to run. So we give them away, in full, with no call and no card. Here is exactly what comes back, run on a real brand.

Audit a competitor
Worked example, 2026-08-24

11 technologies, 8/8 legal pages, 9,806 indexed URLs, 106 press hits.

One public consumer brand. One run. Nothing paid for.

1. What they are built on

Their platform, analytics, email, reviews and support stack, read straight off the page. It tells you what they invest in and, more usefully, what they have outgrown.

Read from the live storefront. The dedicated tools for this one data source are priced per lookup and run into the hundreds of dollars a month.

2. Whether their legal house is in order

The pages the law expects a shop to have, and which consent platform sits on top. A gap here is a real risk for them and a real talking point for you.

Read this before you use it

This checks whether the expected pages exist and which consent tool is running. It is not a legal review, and it does not test compliance with GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA or any other regime. A page can exist and still be wrong. Treat it as a checklist, not an opinion.

3. The shape of their site

Not a page-watcher pointed at one URL you already knew about. The whole sitemap, sorted, so you can see where they are putting their effort and, week over week, what appeared.

9,806 URLs tracked in total. From the second run onward you get the difference: what was added, what disappeared.

4. The press they got

106
news mentions in the tracked window, from a free feed
Dedicated press-monitoring tools charge a monthly subscription for this. The feed we read is public, so it costs us nothing and it costs you nothing.

What is not free

Ad libraries, AI-visibility runs, Reddit, TikTok, YouTube and review-text mining all cost money per run, because the data is bought. Those sit in the paid weekly report.

We would rather tell you where the line is than blur it and surprise you later.

Why give it away

Because it costs us nothing, and because a free audit that is actually complete is a better argument than any demo. If the paid half is worth it, you will be able to tell from the free half.

Questions we get

What does the free audit include?
Everything we can run without paying a data provider: their tech stack, legal and policy pages, the shape of their site, their catalogue and pricing, their claims, and recent press. It is a real run on your competitor, not a template.
What is the catch?
There is none, but there is a limit. The paid sources — ad libraries, AI answer engines, social and review text — cost money per run, so they are not in the free version. We say which ones are missing rather than leaving a gap.
How long does it take?
About a minute for the free sources. A full first run with the paid sources takes longer because we wait for four AI engines to answer the same questions.
